Cisco Meraki API Setup

User guide to get started with Cisco Meraki Guest Wi-Fi and Analytics

    Step 1: Get your Cisco Meraki dashboard API key

    • Scroll down to find 'API Access'
    • Click 'Generate new API key'
    • Copy your generated API key

    Step 2: Setup Meraki API Configuration

    • Login to app.kaptifi.com
    • Select configuration module
    • Choose Meraki API settings
    • Paste your Cisco Meraki API Key
    • Select organization and network
    • Save your configuration

    Step 3:  Import your Meraki Access Points

    • Select Guest Wi-Fi module
    • Navigate to Access Points
    • Choose Import from Meraki API
    • Select the access points to import (hold ctrl key to select multiple or click select all to import all at once)

    Step 4:  Setup Guest Wi-Fi Splash page

    • Select Guest Wi-Fi module
    • Navigate to Splash Pages
    • Create a new Splash page, customize this splash page according to your brand identity requirements

    Step 5:  Add Splash Page to Meraki Guest Network

    • Click save, copy the live URL for the splash page
    • Go to Meraki Dashboard, navigate to Wireless > Splash page
    • Select the SSID for Guest network under Custom Splash URL paste the URL copied
